Our Community Principles
Rankly is built on trust. Server owners trust that their listings will be discovered fairly. Users trust that reviews and ratings are authentic. Everyone trusts that the platform operates with integrity.
These guidelines exist to protect that trust. By using Rankly, you agree to follow these standards and help us maintain a platform where quality servers can thrive and users can make informed decisions.
1. Server Quality Standards
Rankly is for genuine communities. We maintain quality standards to ensure users find real, active servers — not artificially inflated listings that waste everyone's time.
Quality Server Checklist
✓ Genuine Members
Your server should have real members who joined organically — not bots, fake accounts, or purchased members.
✓ Accurate Descriptions
Your listing should honestly describe what your server is about, its features, and what members can expect.
✓ Active Community
Real conversations happen regularly. It's not just a ghost town or a place where bots spam messages.
✓ Proper Categorization
Use correct tags and categories. Don't misrepresent your server's purpose to appear in more searches.
Prohibited Server Practices
Botted or Fake Members
Servers inflated with bots, purchased members, or mass-joined accounts to appear more popular than they are. This misleads users and undermines genuine communities.
Poor or Misleading Descriptions
Low-effort descriptions, keyword stuffing, false claims about server features, or copy-pasted generic text. Your description should genuinely help users understand your community.
Bypassing Requirements with Alts
Using alternate Discord accounts to meet member count requirements, verification thresholds, or activity metrics. This includes having friends create dummy accounts.
Inactive or Shell Servers
Servers created solely to farm votes or credits with no real community value. Servers should exist to bring people together, not to game the platform.
What happens to low-quality servers? We may remove listings, reduce visibility, or suspend accounts for servers that don't meet quality standards. Repeated violations result in permanent removal.
2. Fair Play & Account Rules
Rankly's value comes from fair competition. When everyone plays by the same rules, quality servers naturally rise and users can trust rankings.
One Account Policy
Each person may have only one Rankly account. Creating multiple accounts — whether to vote multiple times, manipulate rankings, evade bans, or circumvent any platform rules — is strictly prohibited.
Vote Authenticity
Votes must be genuine. No bots, scripts, automation, VPN switching, vote trading ("vote4vote"), paid votes, or coordinated voting campaigns using multiple accounts.
Vote Manipulation
Any attempt to artificially inflate votes — automation, multiple accounts, VPNs, vote exchanges, or incentivized voting
Ad/RTB Gaming
Manipulating the advertising system, click fraud, using bots to view ads, or any scheme to unfairly gain advertising advantage
Platform Exploitation
Exploiting bugs, vulnerabilities, or unintended behaviors for personal gain. Report bugs instead of exploiting them.
3. Honest & Authentic Reviews
Reviews help users find great servers and give server owners valuable feedback. They only work if they're honest.

Fake Reviews
Reviewing servers you haven't joined or creating reviews for payment
Review Bombing
Coordinated mass reviews to artificially raise or lower ratings
Review Trading
"Give me 5 stars and I'll give you 5 stars"
Competitor Sabotage
Server owners leaving fake negative reviews on competing servers
4. Respectful Community
Rankly is a global community. We expect everyone to treat others with respect, regardless of background or identity.
Zero Tolerance
Harassment, bullying, hate speech, threats, doxxing, or any content targeting individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other characteristics.
Illegal Content
No servers promoting illegal activities, piracy, hacking, fraud, or drug sales
Malicious Content
No malware, phishing, scams, IP loggers, or harmful links
Untagged NSFW
Adult content must be properly marked. No NSFW in non-18+ listings
Child Safety
Any content exploiting or endangering minors is reported to authorities
5. Enforcement
We take violations seriously but believe in proportionate responses. Our goal is to protect the community while giving people a chance to correct mistakes.
Warning
First-time minor violations. Content removed, guidance provided.
Temporary Suspension
Repeated or moderate violations. 7-30 day suspension, possible credit forfeiture.
Permanent Ban
Severe violations or persistent bad behavior. Account terminated, all credits forfeited.
Appeals
If you believe an action was taken in error, you can appeal by emailing support@rankly.live. Include your username and a clear explanation. Appeals are reviewed within 7 days.
6. Reporting Violations
Help us keep Rankly safe. If you see something that violates these guidelines, please report it.

Note: Filing false reports to harass users or remove legitimate content is itself a violation and will result in account restrictions.
