Our Community Principles
Rankly is a community-driven platform built on trust, respect, and collaboration. These Community Guidelines ("Guidelines") establish the standards of conduct expected from all users. They supplement our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, and violations may result in content removal, account warnings, temporary suspension, or permanent bans.
By using Rankly, you agree to uphold these principles and contribute to a welcoming, constructive environment. We believe that everyone should feel safe to discover servers, share experiences, and engage authentically without fear of harassment, manipulation, or abuse.
1. Be Respectful & Inclusive
Rankly is a diverse global community. We expect all users to treat others with kindness, empathy, and respect, regardless of background, identity, or opinions.

Provide helpful feedback, answer questions, and encourage server owners
Respect Different Perspectives
Everyone has different preferences, cultures, and viewpoints—embrace diversity
Keep Criticism Constructive
Focus on helping servers improve, not attacking or belittling them
Use Inclusive Language
Avoid slurs, stereotypes, and language that excludes or demeans groups
Assume Good Intentions
Give others the benefit of the doubt before jumping to negative conclusions
Strictly Prohibited - Zero Tolerance
Harassment & Bullying
Targeting individuals with repeated unwanted contact, insults, threats, intimidation, or coordinated attacks
Hate Speech & Discrimination
Content promoting or expressing hatred toward individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, or other protected characteristics
Threats & Violence
Threats of physical harm, violence, self-harm, or encouragement of dangerous activities
Doxxing & Privacy Violations
Publishing private personal information (addresses, phone numbers, emails, IDs) without explicit consent
Sexual Harassment
Unwanted sexual advances, explicit content sent without consent, or sexually suggestive comments toward minors
2. Honest & Authentic Reviews
Reviews and ratings are the foundation of trust on Rankly. We rely on authentic, honest feedback from real users to help others discover quality servers. Manipulated reviews undermine the entire community.
High-Quality Reviews
- •Based on genuine experience: Only review servers you've actually joined and interacted with
- •Balanced and detailed: Mention both strengths and weaknesses, provide specific examples
- •Helpful to others: Focus on aspects that would inform someone's decision to join
- •Respectful tone: Critique the server, not the people running it personally
- •Updated when needed: If a server improves or declines, consider updating your review
Review Violations
Fake Reviews
Reviewing servers you haven't joined, creating reviews on behalf of others, or paid reviews
Review Bombing / Brigading
Coordinated mass negative or positive reviews to manipulate ratings
Spam & Off-Topic
Reviews containing spam, ads, promotional links, or completely irrelevant content
Quid Pro Quo Reviews
"I'll give you 5 stars if you give me 5 stars" or incentivized positive reviews
Competitor Sabotage
Server owners posting negative reviews on competing servers to gain advantage
3. Fair Play & Platform Integrity
Rankly's ranking system depends on fair competition and authentic engagement. Any attempt to artificially inflate metrics, manipulate systems, or gain unfair advantages violates these Guidelines and our Terms of Service.
Severe Violations - Immediate Ban Risk
❌ Vote Manipulation
Using bots, scripts, automation, alt accounts, VPNs,("vote4vote," "pay4vote") to artificially inflate vote counts
❌ Auction Fraud
Shill bidding, collusion, using multiple accounts to manipulate auction prices, or bid retraction attempts
❌ Multiple Accounts
Creating multiple Rankly accounts to vote multiple times, manipulate rankings, or circumvent bans
❌ False Information
Lying about server statistics (member count, activity), using fake screenshots, or misleading descriptions to deceive users
❌ Impersonation
Pretending to be another server, brand, celebrity, or Rankly staff member
❌ Platform Exploitation
Exploiting bugs, vulnerabilities, or unintended features for personal gain; attempting to breach security
⚠️ What Happens to Violators?
- • First offense: Warning + content removal + temporary restriction
- • Second offense: 7-30 day suspension + loss of earned credits
- • Severe/repeated violations: Permanent account ban + IP ban
- • Fraud/illegal activity: Immediate permanent ban + potential legal action
4. Content Standards & Server Listings
Server Listing Requirements
When creating a server listing, ensure all content is:
- Accurate & Current: Descriptions, member counts, and features match reality
- Properly Categorized: Use appropriate tags and categories (Gaming, Education, NSFW, etc.)
- Age-Appropriate: NSFW servers must be clearly marked; no NSFW content in non-18+ listings
- Discord ToS Compliant: Server doesn't violate Discord's Terms of Service or Community Guidelines
- Original Content: Use your own images/descriptions or have proper rights/permissions
Prohibited Server Content
Illegal Activities
Piracy, hacking, drug sales, counterfeit goods, fraud, terrorism, or any illegal content
Malicious Content
Malware, viruses, phishing links, IP loggers, or any harmful code/scams
Explicit NSFW (Untagged)
Pornography, extreme violence, or disturbing imagery without proper age restrictions
Hate Groups
Servers promoting racism, extremism, terrorism, or organized hate movements
Child Exploitation
Any content exploiting, sexualizing, or endangering minors (reported to authorities)
Copyright Infringement
Servers dedicated to pirating movies, games, software, or violating intellectual property
5. Reporting Violations & Moderation
How to Report
If you encounter content or behavior that violates these Guidelines, please report it immediately. Our moderation team reviews all reports within 24-48 hours.

Use the "Report" button on any server listing, review, or comment

Contact support@rankly.live with detailed information and evidence
What to Include in Reports
- •Link to the offending content (server listing, review, user profile)
- •Specific guideline violation category
- •Detailed description of the issue
- •Screenshots or evidence (if applicable)
- •Your contact information for follow-up
False Reports
Filing false or malicious reports is a violation. Repeatedly abusing the reporting system to harass users or remove legitimate content will result in account restrictions or bans.
6. Enforcement & Appeals
Enforcement Actions
Violations may result in graduated enforcement actions based on severity and history:
Warning
Minor first-time violations. Content removed, account warned.
Temporary Suspension
Repeated or moderate violations. 7-30 day account suspension, content removal.
Permanent Ban
Severe or persistent violations. Account permanently terminated, IP banned.
Appeal Process
If you believe an enforcement action was made in error, you may appeal:
- 1.Email appeals@rankly.live within 14 days
- 2.Include your account username, action taken, and why you believe it was wrong
- 3.Provide any supporting evidence or context
- 4.Wait for review (typically 5-10 business days)
Appeal decisions are final. Repeated frivolous appeals may result in communication restrictions.
